Job Summary:
Asa Nurse Extern:
- Youwill deliver high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety ofdelegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions andactivities of daily living.
- Youwill assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the NurseExterns skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistentlyassists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safepatient care environment, under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN).
- Youwill have to be currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited schoolof nursing and can perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved.
- Youwill participate in the implementation of nursing care plans by performingdirect and indirect patient care under the supervision of the licensed nurse.
Cartersville Medical Center is a 119 bed acute care hospital, Level IIITrauma, Chest Pain Center, Certified Primary Stroke Center and Gold SealInpatient Diabetes program accredited by the Joint Commission. The Breast Imaging Center of Excellence atThe Womens Center provides mammography services that are gold seal accreditedby the American College of Radiology. The Hope Center, a regional, Commission on Cancer approved cancertreatment facility, is conveniently located on the hospital campus and providesover 4,000 treatments with over 300 new patients per year from a ten countyregion.

Qualifications
Required: Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred: 1+ years of nursing school completed
